Our take

Is Voneus worth it?

Voneus builds full fibre and fixed wireless networks in rural parts of England and Wales, often with government gigabit vouchers. Home plans run at 250, 500 and 900 Mb on 24-month terms, with free standard installation and a router.

Voneus states there are no price rises during the contract. In August 2026 it bought the assets and customers of Airband from administration, taking it to 170,000 gigabit-capable premises. It reported a £38m loss for the year to March 2025. Voneus has no social tariff, does not publish exit charges in the sources we checked and is not in Ofcom’s automatic compensation scheme.

Good fit if

you live in a rural area Voneus has built to and want a price that does not rise during the contract.

Look elsewhere if

you need a social tariff or want exit terms set out before you sign.

FAQ

Voneus broadband: common questions

Can I get Voneus broadband at my address?

Voneus covers 170,000 gigabit-capable premises in rural England and Wales on own full fibre and fixed wireless networks. Enter your postcode in the comparison above to see the Voneus deals that reach you.

What happens when my Voneus contract ends?

Voneus must tell you 10 to 40 days before your minimum term ends, show its best deals for you, and remind you once a year after that. Out of contract, prices are usually higher, so it pays to switch or agree a new deal.

Can I switch to or from Voneus with One Touch Switch?

Yes. Since 12 September 2024 you only contact the provider you are moving to, even between networks. Voneus or your old provider must tell you about any exit fees, and the gap in service should be no more than one working day.

Does Voneus pay compensation when broadband goes down?

Not automatically. Voneus is not part of Ofcom’s automatic compensation scheme, so you need to ask. If a complaint is not resolved in six weeks, you can take it to an ombudsman for free.

Does Voneus guarantee its speeds?

Voneus does not publish a speed guarantee.
