Broadband price rise calculator: what you will really pay.
Of the 27 providers we track, 12 add a fixed amount every year, most often £4 a month; 11 promise no rise during the contract, and 3 (Sky, NOW and Gigaclear) do not fix rises in advance. Enter your deal to see what you will really pay, month by month.
The rules behind the numbers
Since 17 January 2025, a new contract must state any rise in pounds and pence. Rises linked to inflation (CPI or RPI plus a percentage) are banned in new contracts.
Contracts signed before 17 January 2025 can still use inflation-linked rises, such as CPI plus 3.9%, until they end.
Sky, NOW and Gigaclear do not fix rises in advance. When they announce one, you can leave within 30 days without an exit fee.
Zen, Rebel, iTalk, YouFibre, Trooli, Lightspeed, Truespeed, BeFibre, Fibrus and Quickline promise no rise during the contract.

Broadband price rise calculator: common questions
When do broadband prices go up?
Most fixed rises happen on 31 March (BT, EE, Plusnet) or in April (Virgin Media, Vodafone, TalkTalk, Hyperoptic, Community Fibre). Your contract shows the exact date.
Can my provider raise my price by more than my contract says?
Not without letting you leave. If a rise is not set out in your contract, you can cancel within 30 days of being told, without an exit fee.
Do price rises apply to social tariffs?
Not usually. BT Home Essentials and Hyperoptic Fair Fibre have no rises during the contract.
How do I avoid price rises?
Choose a provider that promises no rise during the contract, or compare deals by average price over the whole contract, as our deals pages do.
